Drivers

We're looking for dedicated, reliable individuals who can help transport our practitioners to various military bases. As a volunteer driver, you ensure that Base Days actually happen.

Once on base: Drivers can choose to double as a Base Day Assistant -- helping the team run the day, hold the space, and support soldiers. Or, if you'd prefer, you can stay in your car and work remotely during treatments. Either option works for us.

  • Valid driver's license (must be shared with us)
  • A car in good working condition
  • Willingness to drive to different bases across Israel
  • Reliable and punctual -- timing matters
  • Gas reimbursed for every day you drive
  • Option to double as a Base Day Assistant once on base
  • Or work remotely from your car while soldiers are treated
We'd love you to join us a few times a month, but we appreciate any time you can give.

Common questions.

Base Days take place on active IDF bases in northern Israel -- around active-duty soldiers, live ammunition, and weapons. In that environment, the safety risk of triggering a soldier is too high to take on.

Talk therapy and EMDR are powerful modalities, but they can surface trauma in ways that aren't safe to process on base, where soldiers need to remain regulated and return to duty. Our model is built around grounding, nervous system regulation, and physical and energetic relief -- so soldiers leave Base Days feeling restored, not opened up.

We deeply respect the work of talk therapists and EMDR practitioners. It's simply not the right setting.
International practitioners are welcome to join Base Days during their time in Israel. Once you've submitted your intake form, you'll be added to our WhatsApp coordination group 2 weeks before your arrival date. Reach out when you have travel dates confirmed and we'll work to fit you into a Base Day.
No -- volunteers join Base Days based on their own availability. When a new Base Day is announced in the WhatsApp group, you simply reply if you're free to attend. Some volunteers join once a month, others come weekly. Both are equally valued.
